Formula One As Art
One of the most visual Formula One cars ever conceived was the 1986 Benetton BMW Turbo "Flame Car" and
yet, it is always thought of as a car. Even with all my racing background, I always saw it as art and wanted to
celebrate it in a way that transcends the garage. Speed. Color. Motion. Excitement. Truth be told, at one point,
this car was the centerpiece of my studio. So many decals that were so carefully designed and so elaborately
placed. So Benetton!
