The US Ski Team and parent US Ski and Snowboard Association were hunting for an image and brand consulting company to
help them update their market presence and improve overall performance. We got word of this as they were debating between two
major agencies in New York and California. We presented some initial ideas based on a real connection I had for the US Ski Team.
I’d grown up skiing and racing at Stratton in Vermont and I was fanatical about skiing. Growing up, the idea of the US Ski Team,
the patch that team members got to wear, and the prestige associated with it were all out of reach for me, but an inspiration none
the less. The idea of wearing the US Ski Team logo on your sleeve was a dream. The thought of having an influence on the team
and the association was overwhelming. That’s what fueled our proposal. We won the account and proceeded to re-design their
brand, logos, collateral and overall image, while respecting the equity of their name and reputation. The impact was huge, and the
attitude of the team and organization blossomed; the team started winning on the world stage. The 20 years that they wore this
logo were the most successful in the history of US Skiing. Dream come true. – DW
