Monza - The Track
Another piece from my series on the Monza race track is more subtle in some ways and combines colors and
geometric shapes that appear three-dimensional, when in fact, they are just paint and tire marks combined with
asphalt.
All the markings on the race track are carefully laid out to provide visual clues and safety indicators to the drivers
as they rocket past, helping them remember braking points, turn-in points, and other subtle references that
can mean the difference between a fastest lap, or an excursion off track. For me, all of these visual and graphic
elements add to the aesthetic and elegance that is the art of Formula One.
