Porsche - Le Mans 1,2,3
When the Porsche 918 supercar came out, it was an incredible piece of engineering and performance. It also had
a lot of design details that I could not believe. The engine cover and metalwork were so intricate, yet so purpose-
driven, like everything on this new statement vehicle from Stuttgart. I wanted to create an art piece that focused
on the detail of the metal and color. I also wanted to celebrate some of Porsche’s past victories and statements
of their performance. The hints of color provided by the 918’s tail light lenses are a tribute to the famous Le
Mans formation finish. Great memories mixed with an ongoing culture of innovation and pushing boundaries to
always advance people’s thinking of what is possible.
