I took a duffel bag of samples up to CB Sports and pushed for an appointment to see if what I was doing made any sense. I
wanted advice. I presented them to CB Vaughan, speed skiing champion and Founder of CB Sports, the then largest skiwear
manufacturer in the world. What I got at the end of that meeting was a contract to design two lines of high performance skiwear.
It was incredible! And unexpected.

My APS - Advanced Performance System - Skiwear for CB Sports became their biggest selling line in the history of the brand. I later
turned my attention to the marketing of skiwear. I loved hanging out in ski shops, but I never understood why the merchandising
was so boring, considering the sport was so exciting.

Over time, the fashion drawings got better but it didn't matter since all the details were well documented when I presented
my lines to CB and his team. They understood the important points and that's what mattered. These many years later, I am
designing new fashion products and accessories, and the drawings and details are even more complex, but in the end, it's all about
performance and style. – DW
